Who we are
Based in Louvain-La-Neuve (Belgium), AGC Glass Europe is the European branch of AGC Glass, the world’s largest producer of flat glass.
AGC Glass Europe manufactures, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction sector (external glazing and interior decorative glass), the automotive industry (original and replacement glass) and the solar sector.
For more than 40 years, the automotive industry has been using antenna-embedded glass for AM/FM radio, television, remote keyless entry, DAB, 4G and now 5G.
Last year, AGC Glass Europe invested in a large leading-edge anechoic chamber at its R&D centre in Gosselies, Belgium in response to the automotive industry’s growing demand for connectivity.
AGC is now leveraging this expertise to examine the role building glazing can play in telecommunications and is bringing its first three new products to market: WAVETHRU, WAVETRAP and Glass Antenna.
